Thank-you for choosing Green Solar Guys for your solar water heating system. All products and services supplied and installed are subject to the following terms and conditions. By using this website or doing business with us in any way, you confirm that you have familiarized yourself with the terms and conditions governing the usage of the website and that you further agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Should you not agree to the following terms and conditions, please refrain from using our website or any related product.
1. All quotes include:
o Products and materials as listed.
o PRIB certificate.
o 1 year Workmanship Guarantee.
o All product Manufacturer’s Guarantees.
o Booking management.
o Allowance for support of potential workmanship and/or product faults.
o Allowance for delivery or return fees.
o Transport costs within 25km of Edenvale, Johannesburg.
o Training on your new solar system.
o Troubleshooting guide for Geyserwise control unit.
2. Additional customer call out fees for training or system instruction will be applicable if unable to resolve via WhatsApp.
3. All quotes are subject to site inspection on the day of installation. Any unforeseen issues will be discussed prior to installation. Any additional costs (if any) will be communicated to you. Please ensure you or your proxy are available at all times. Failure to communicate with either party could delay the installation, requiring additional call-out fees or cancellation of the installation.
4. All quotes exclude any pre-existing plumbing and electrical issues that might need repair to allow for full product or workmanship performance.Green Solar Guys shall, upon your acceptance of any quote, supply and install products and materials in accordance with that specified on the quote, together with all its components (‘the product’), subject to the terms and conditions set out herein.
5. No other terms shall be applicable unless the same is reduced to writing and signed on behalf of Green Solar Guys. Should any quote or other document submitted by the purchaser contain any conditions in conflict with those recorded herein, Green Solar Guys terms and conditions shall prevail. The purchaser agrees that no other terms, promises, representations, warranties or guarantees with reference to the products, deliveries or prices shall be of any force or effect except such as are consistent with those conditions quoted or as are expressly authorized by Green Solar Guys in writing.
6. Green Solar Guys shall determine the purchase price to be paid for the specified product required by the purchaser and record the same together with the costs of the installation on the quote. All quotes, pro forma invoices, and estimates are valid for 10 working days from the date of issue.
7. Upon acceptance of the quoted price, the purchaser shall be deemed to have acquainted themselves with these terms and conditions and their signature to the quote shall constitute acceptance of all terms herein.
8. Green Solar Guys reserves the right to refuse to accept and or execute any quote and to cancel any order in whole or in part, without giving any reason for cancellation.
9. All sales are COD unless otherwise agreed. The balance shall be payable on the day of installation, upon arrival and prior to the installation team commencing work. Card facilities are available.
10. If the outstanding balance is not paid upon completion of the work or if any payment is dishonored, interest shall be charged at the maximum rate allowed under South African law from the date of completion to the date of final payment.
11. Complaints or other grounds do not justify the withholding of payment.
12. Outstanding balances will be Black Listed and Handed Over after 30 days.
13. No settlement discount shall be permitted unless otherwise agreed to and recorded in writing between parties prior to the work being initiated.
14. All amounts payable in terms of this agreement shall be paid free of bank fees.
15. Delivery of the product and installation, shall be effected at the designated address set out in the quote, unless Green Solar Guys is instructed otherwise in writing by the purchaser.
16. Products are available for collection only after payment clearing in Green Solar Guys bank account. All products purchased must be collected within 90 days of payment failing which they will be sold to defray costs. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to insure products being collected and transported.
17. Ownership is vested in Green Solar Guys until paid for in full.
18. Provided that the purchaser is not in breach of any of its obligations, Green Solar Guys undertakes to deliver only, or deliver and install the product within a reasonable time.
19. Green Solar Guys shall not be liable in any way for any loss as a result of late delivery or installation of the product as a result of the unavailability of stock, strikes, riots, lockouts, trade disputes, acts or restraints of government, the imposition of restrictions on exportation or importation or from any other cause not within the control of the service provider.
20. Green Solar Guys shall have no responsibility or liability whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property or for other loss or injury resulting from any cause whatsoever arising out of or related to the product, including, without limitation, to any defects in the product from the use or from installation. Under no circumstances will Green Solar Guys be liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages howsoever caused. Green Solar Guys cannot be held liable for any installation-related damages or non-performance.
21. The risk in the products shall pass to the purchaser upon delivery to the address reflected on the quote.
22. If the products delivered by Green Solar Guys are not what the purchaser ordered, are damaged, defective or of an incorrect quantity, Green Solar Guys shall have no liability to the purchaser unless the purchaser notifies Green Solar Guys immediately and before the products are installed.
23. Notwithstanding the delivery of the product, Green Solar Guys strictly reserves ownership of the product until it has been paid for in full, on which date ownership shall pass to the purchaser. In the event of non-payment of any amounts owing in terms of this agreement, the purchaser agrees that the product shall not accede to the immovable property and Green Solar Guys shall be entitled to uplift the product and to retake possession of the product delivered and installed, at the purchaser’s cost.
24. The purchaser shall provide Green Solar Guys with access to the premises in order to carry out the required work. At the site, electricity shall be made available, at no charge to Green Solar Guys for the purposes of the installation.
25. The purchaser shall point out where the water mains valve is situated, allow Green Solar Guys to shut the same off and also to shut off the electricity to connect the electrical connections to the product.
26. The purchaser shall be responsible for its own certificate of compliance with regards to the electrical installation and Green Solar Guys shall be under no obligation to supply the same.
27. The purchaser is responsible to ensure that the Rand value added to the structure after the installation of the solar water heating system is covered by the home owner’s insurance.
28. Although the electrical timer fitted to regulate the electricity supply to the geyser may have a backup battery, it remains the responsibility of the purchaser to monitor and maintain the timer settings to ensure optimum electricity savings.
29. Green Solar Guys shall be responsible for the PIRB certificate of compliance with regards to the plumbing installation which shall list remedial work deemed necessary to comply to SANS regulations, and list work undertaken by Green Solar Guys.
30. In the event of the purchaser being in breach of any of its obligations under these terms and conditions, Green Solar Guys shall, without prejudice to Green Solar Guys rights to claim payment from the purchaser of any amounts outstanding or any damages sustained by Green Solar Guys by reason of the purchaser’s default, have the right to recover any products or services that have not been paid for in full.
31. In the event of Green Solar Guys being obliged to take any action to enforce any rights and obligations as specified herein, the purchaser shall be responsible for all costs in connection with such proceedings on a scale as between an attorney and his own purchaser.
32. All Green Solar Guys products are backed by a manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty, provided that any work carried out on the product has been affected by an installer approved by Green Solar Guys. In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, all products carry a minimum of a 6-month warranty, but most of our products have a manufacturer warranty that extends beyond this.
33. All solar related products are covered as per the warranty provided with the product by the manufacturer, including:
o Geyser – manufacturer supplied warranty or 5 years
o Solar collector – manufacturer supplied warranty or 5 years
o Plumbing components valves, pipes, fittings, etc – 1 year
o Electrical components – 1 year
o All plumbing components – 1 year
o All workmanship – 1 year
32. The warranty explicitly excludes any pre-installed equipment or the pre-installed electrical geyser and its related components.
33. Any tampering of the geyser or installation by the purchaser during the warranty periods mentioned will void any claims of the manufacturer's and supplier's warranties.
34. All warranty claims must be made in writing to Green Solar Guys and a representative of Green Solar Guys shall be afforded access to the premises to inspect any alleged damages.
35. The purchaser acknowledges that the performance of any solar system is subject to the solar radiance input and that climatic conditions may adversely influence performance.
36. All product or material replacements within the warranty period, are to be performed by Green Solar Guys or an installer approved by Green Solar Guys. Geyser replacements performed by non-Green Solar Guys installers will invalidate the warranty on all products and materials connected to the geyser.
37. These terms and conditions supersede all previous agreements, whether oral or written. No amendment or variation of these terms shall be valid or binding unless reduced in writing and signed by Green Solar Guys or its duly authorised representatives.
38. The terms and conditions contained herein shall be binding on the purchaser, their successors-in-title, heirs, administrators, liquidators, trustees, executors or assigns.
39. No indulgence or extension granted by Green Solar Guys to the purchaser shall prejudice in any way the right of Green Solar Guys to enforce its rights herein nor shall it create new rights nor be construed as a waiver.
40. Carbon Credits, if any, associated with the purchase of the product are to be collected and are hereby ceded to Green Solar Guys.
41. The purchaser chooses their domicillium citandi et executandi for all purposes of any legal process or notices the physical address and for purposes of delivery of Green Solar Guys statement, the postal address reflected on the quote.



These Terms and Conditions are a contract between you and Green Solar Guys. The company has its physical address at 7 Elray Avenue, Dunvegan, Edenvale, Gauteng. Green Solar Guys elects this physical address for all purposes regarding these terms and conditions, whether for legal notice or serving of other communication documents of any kind.
